Who I am
DRIMENSI is the studio of Jochen Bijnens, 3680 Maaseik, Belgium. I am the data controller for this website. Questions about your data go to hello@drimensi.com.
What I collect, and why
When you send an enquiry. The contact form collects what you type in: your name, email address, company and phone number if you add them, the project options you select, your project title and details, and any files you attach. I use this to read your brief, reply to you and prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).
When you tick the newsletter box. If you tick the newsletter box, I store your name and email address so I can send you occasional studio news once the newsletter starts. Nothing is sent until then, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing me. The box is off by default and the legal basis is your consent.
When you email me directly. I keep the correspondence for as long as I need it to handle your request or project.
Spam protection. The form runs a bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) that processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to tell humans from bots. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.
Site analytics. I use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across other websites. To tell visits on the same day apart, Vercel derives a hash from your IP address and browser details and discards it after 24 hours; I never see the raw data, only aggregated page counts. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
No automated decisions. I do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making.
Who handles the data for me
I do not sell your data or share it for marketing. These services process it on my behalf, under contracts that bind them to GDPR:
- Vercel (hosting, page delivery and cookie-free page statistics)
- Supabase (storing enquiries and attachments), hosted in Paris, EU
- Resend (sending the emails when you submit the form: my notification and your confirmation)
- Cloudflare (bot protection on the form)
Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, it is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries, including attachments: 24 months after our last contact. If the enquiry becomes a project, the project records are kept for 10 years after completion, as Belgian accounting rules require.
- Newsletter details: until you withdraw.
- Bot-check and analytics data: handled by the providers above and not kept by me in a form that identifies you.
Security
Attachments and enquiries are stored on access-controlled servers over encrypted connections. Only I have access. No system is completely secure, so do not send anything through the form that must stay secret; email me first and we can agree on a safer route.
Confidential project files
Plans, drawings and models you share with me are used only for the project you share them for and are never published. Finished work may appear in my portfolio under the conditions in my terms (section 15, Portfolio, client references and confidentiality), unless you tell me before we start that the project is confidential.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and shows no cookie banner because it does not need one. The bot check on the contact form may set a short-lived technical cookie to work; that is a strictly necessary cookie and needs no consent.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask me to:
- show you the data I hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict or object to how I use it
- hand it over in a portable format
- withdraw consent you gave earlier (newsletter)
Email hello@drimensi.com and I will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority: Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
Changes
If I change this policy I update the date at the top. Substantive changes to how I handle enquiry data will be noted on this page.
