Before you write.
Most projects get a fixed quote based on your brief: the number of images or shots and the level of detail. Stills, animation and interactive work each sit in a different price range, so the budget field in the form helps me point you in the right direction. For projects that span several weeks or months, or where a lot will still change along the way (for example when the 3D is part of your concept phase), I work at an hourly rate instead. Either way, we agree on the price or rate before anything starts.
It depends on the scope of your project and the number of deliverables. A single still is a different job than a full set of images or an animation. Working to a hard deadline? Mention it in your message and I’ll tell you upfront what’s realistic.
Whatever you have. Plans, CAD or 3D files, sketches, mood or material references: the more context the better, but rough drawings are a fine starting point too. You can upload PDF, JPG, PNG, ZIP, DWG and DXF files up to 25 MB through the form. For other file types or larger files, a WeTransfer link is preferred, either in your message or by email. I’ll let you know if anything’s missing.
Small tweaks along the way are part of the job, but in general two rounds are included. Changes that go beyond the original brief, like a design change, a new material concept or a different view after approval, are billed at the hourly rate in the quote, or get a new quote when they’re bigger. I’ll always flag this before starting that work, so there are no surprises.
Every brief brings something new, but the overall way I work always follows the same three steps.
- Briefing
You share your plans, references and constraints, and tell me what the visuals are for. Based on that, you get a quote. Once it’s approved, I get started.
- Building & refining
I build the scene and work on light, materials and atmosphere. Along the way you get previews to give feedback on framing, light and detail, so there are no surprises at the end.
- Delivery
You get the final images or animation, ready to use in a presentation, on your website, for a launch or in a campaign.
Yes. I’m based in Belgium, but I’ve worked with clients abroad before. Most projects run fully remote, over email and video calls, with files shared online. If you’re in a different time zone, we’ll find a time for calls that suits us both. I work in Dutch and English.
